A Few Things to Know Before You Begin.
Do I need to know exactly what I want?
No. You do not need to begin with a finished vision. Through a detailed questionnaire and a series of conversations, we learn how you live, what you like, and what your home needs. We then turn those ideas into a clear design direction you can see, review, and approve.
What is included in your interior design services?
Depending on your project, your design scope may include space planning, lighting, millwork and finish design, realistic 3D visuals, coordinated selections, specifications, and detailed drawings your contractor can follow. Together, these give you a clear picture of the home before implementation begins. Your proposal explains exactly what is included.
How will we work together during the design process?
We begin with a detailed questionnaire and several conversations about how you live, what matters to you, and the style you are drawn to. During regular Zoom meetings, we present each stage, explain the decisions, and review your feedback. You can request refinements, and we move forward only after you approve the direction.
When should I hire an interior designer?
The best time is before major decisions about the layout, lighting, plumbing, and finishes have been made. Starting early gives us more time to plan the design and helps reduce difficult changes later. If your project has already started, we can review its current stage and explain how we may still be able to help.
Can you work with my architect or contractor?
Yes. We can work with your architect and contractor so the layout, lighting, finishes, cabinetry, and other important details all follow the same approved design. Our drawings and documents help the team understand what to build and reduce unnecessary questions during construction.
How are interior design fees determined?
Design fees depend on the size of the property, how many rooms are included, the type of work involved, and which services you need. After the Private Project Review, we recommend the right services for your project and explain the fee before you decide whether to move forward.
Can I start with design and add other services later?
Yes. You can begin with interior design, drawings, and documentation. Purchasing services—often called procurement—and design support during construction or installation can be added later if needed. You do not have to choose every service at the beginning. Your proposal clearly lists the approved services and fees.
Do I need to be in South Florida throughout the project?
No. We can coordinate the design through scheduled Zoom meetings, realistic visuals, documented selections, and clear approval stages—allowing you to make informed decisions wherever you are. Any site visits or implementation support are planned around the property, project scope, and level of support you need.
